Position Summary
The Sales Director, Switzerland is responsible for leading commercial operations in the market to achieve budgeted Net Sales, Gross Margin, and Operating Profit. The role requires a strategic mindset to enhance market positioning and drive category management initiatives, ensuring strong distribution and visibility of the Energizer portfolio across key customers and channels.
The Sales Director directly manages key accounts, with a particular focus on Migros, and plays a crucial role within the DACHPO Leadership Team, contributing to the overall development and execution of the cluster strategy. Additionally, the role involves overseeing and developing a high-performing commercial team while fostering strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and implement a clear vision and strategic plan for the Swiss market.
* Full P&L responsibility, including forecasting and financial control.
* Execute sales initiatives effectively across multiple customers and segments.
* Manage trade spend and optimize cost of sales to drive profitability.
* Lead, develop, and retain a high-performing commercial team.
* Build and maintain strong cross-functional relationships with Trade Marketing, Category Management, Finance, Human Resources, Demand Planning, and Supply Chain.
* Oversee top customer management, from annual negotiations to the execution of promotional campaigns.
Qualifications & Experience
* Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
* Extensive experience in FMCG sales and commercial leadership.
* Deep understanding of the Swiss market and customer landscape is a strong advantage.
* Proven track record in Senior Key Account Management or Sales Director roles.
* Exceptional negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
* Strong experience in team leadership, development, and engagement.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
* Solid background in P&L management and financial analysis.
* Influential leadership style with a results-driven and detail-oriented mindset.
* Fluency in English and German is required.
