Strategic Key Account Management – A Growth Mindset and Development Platform
To drive our growth, we are seeking a high-potential sales and/or commercial professional who will undergo a 12–18-month development program in strategic thinking and sales management, preparing for a Senior Key Account Manager role. This position is designed for ambitious individuals who want to develop their sales expertise, business acumen, and strategic mindset with the intention to take over an important and meaningful management position mid-term.
Key Responsibilities:
Stage 1 “Onboarding and Development program”
1. Key Account & Customer Portfolio Management
· Develop strong relationships with key account managers and cross-functional teams.
· Build and facilitate customer portfolio management.
· Develop and design plans to achieve customer portfolio objectives.
2. Sales Strategy & Business Development
· Assist in the development and execution of sales strategies to achieve business objectives.
· Consolidate customer strategies and create customer insights to feed corporate strategy.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams (e.g. key accounts, business acquisition) to align business strategies.
3. Development for Senior Key Account Manager Role
· Gaining exposure to advanced strategic sales topics.
· Learn strategic account planning and data-driven sales optimization.
· Receive mentorship and coaching from senior leadership.
· Prepare for transition into a Senior Key Account Manager role through structured growth milestones. 4. Sales Planning & Performance Analysis Support
· Contribute to sales forecasting, revenue planning, and performance tracking.
· Support in analysis of sales data and key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify trends and improvement areas.
· Develop and improve dashboards, reports, and presentations to support sales decision-making.
· Work on sales process optimization and automation initiatives.
Stage 2 “Senior Key Account Manager”
As a Senior Key Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing your assigned customer portfolio, contributing to sales and customer strategies, as well as enhancing our sales planning process. Based on your previous development stage, you should have gained sufficient hands-on experience and have learnt how to work with senior leaders of the organization
Your profile
· Educational Background: Master’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, and/or an engineering related discipline.
· Experience: 3-5 years of experience in sales, business development, technical management and/or key account management.
· Analytical Skills: Skilled in analyzing and comprehending data as well as solving problems with different perspectives in mind (i.e. internal/external, short-/long-term).
· Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), SAP HANA (nice to have).
· Attitude: Hands-on, pro-active mindset with well-organized, self-motivated working style and the ability to work independently under pressure, strong business and customer centric mindset.
· Language Skills: Fluent in English; additional languages (e.g. German) are a plus.
