Spiden is a Swiss deep-tech startup that is pioneering a light- and ML-based technology platform for continuous, non-invasive and label-free clinical-grade monitoring of biomarkers and drug concentrations in tissue, blood, and other bodily fluids, supporting a range of both wellness and medical use cases, for example, needle-free continuous glucose monitoring.
We are looking for an experienced Senior Systems Engineer (f/m/d, 80-100%) who will work within a multidisciplinary team on the development of innovative wearable technology for consumer applications.
Your mission
Lead and coordinate the systems engineering and technical project tasks in the development of Spiden’s wearable product
Define technical requirements in coordination with product owner, operations and aligned with Spiden's technology roadmap
Conduct technical negotiations with project partners, specifically Industrial Design and Production partners
Define and implement the development and verification logic, establish the corresponding documents, i.e. design development & verification plans, test plans, design justification documents, interface control documents, verification control documents etc.
Coordinate the generation and review of technical project documents and drawings
Your profile
M.Sc. or Ph.D. in mechatronics, electrical engineering, robotics, or related disciplines
Several years of professional experience in systems engineering or technical project management in consumer-facing electronics, and preferably wearable technology
Experience in the architecture, design & development of wearable electronic devices with hard- and software, based on defined performance, cost and reliability targets
Experience designing high-volume products from concept to production, working with contract manufacturers
Team player and ability to integrate into a highly interdisciplinary and dynamic team
Good communication, cooperation and organization skills, willingness to take responsibility
Good analytical and system-oriented thinking as well as fast comprehension
Awareness of costs and schedules
Proven track record in analytical and problem-solving skills
Professional working proficiency in English (German, French or an Asian language is a plus), with strong writing and communication skills
Experience with requirements management tools
Experience in working in a quality management system. Working with regulated medical devices (FDA and ISO 13485) is a plus
