Overview
Pursuing the vision to be Europe’s greatest ice hockey competition, the Champions Hockey League provides 24 teams from 11 leagues the platform to go beyond and to battle in a total of 101 games between September and February to become Champions of Europe.
To complement the CHL’s head office in Zug, we are currently looking for a creative, forward-thinking and proactive new staff member who reports to the Communication & Digital Media Manager. The candidate will take the further development of the CHL’s digital platforms including the content planning, the implementation of digital campaigns and projects as well as the development and optimisation of newsletter campaigns. Further, he/she will support the Communication & Digital Media Manager and the Director of Operations & Sport in various other areas and contribute with a structured, solution-oriented working style.
Responsibilities
Plan, coordinate and supervise content creation for the CHL platforms in collaboration with external suppliers (writers, video editors etc.)
Conceptualisation, implementation, and monitoring of influencer marketing and campaigns
Own the CHL’s content service program for clubs (education, support, reporting, further development)
Plan and implement various digital campaigns
Establish relationships with participating clubs, help educate and support them in the implementation of CHL campaigns
Plan and implement the fan engagement activities on digital platforms
Plan, create and enhance the CHL newsletters & increase the database of subscribers
Compile analyses and reports for web, social media and media coverage
Take responsibility for quality assurance of the CHL’s digital platforms, including their further development
Support our agency’s content team in community management
Assist with the organisation of press conferences and other media events
Take care of media distribution lists, accreditation forms and other CRM-related tasks
Prepare presentations and documents for executives
Administrative and general support of the Communication & Digital Media Manager and the Director of Operations & Sport
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Digital Media, Communications, Sport Management or a related communications field
1‑2 years of professional experience in communications or digital media (preferably in the sports industry) is a plus
Advanced knowledge in the area of web content management & social media
Basic understanding of web technologies and a great interest for digital innovations & trends
Strong writing/drafting skills and fluent verbal communication in both German and English are required
Advanced expertise in MS Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
Skills in Adobe Creative Cloud software (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) is a plus
Passion for sports, in particular ice hockey
Outgoing personality with excellent communication skills
