We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our R&D Department.
You will be involved in the design and development of surgical instruments and implants used in Spine surgery.
Daily, you will collaborate with a dedicated team (project manager, marketing product manager) and interact with various departments (Industrialization, Regulatory, QA).
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Contributing to new product development and maintaining existing product lines
* Adhering to project schedules
* Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards ISO13485, 21CFR Part 820, MDD 93-42-EEC, and MDR 2017/745
* Collaborating with Marketing, Operations, Regulatory, and QA at different project stages from design inputs to product launch
* Executing design drawings according to specifications, cost objectives, performance, and quality standards
* Managing drawing dimensions and documentation
* Contributing to establishing design specifications
* Overseeing prototyping and manufacturing of test devices with manufacturers
* Participating in test planning and follow-up
* Supporting the industrialization process, including drawing reviews
* Preparing documentation such as test reports in compliance with regulatory and quality standards
* Maintaining the Design History File (DHF) for projects
Additional activities include:
* Occasional support to Regulatory Affairs, Production, Quality, and Marketing teams
Candidate profile:
* Over 7 years of experience as a mechanical engineer or with solid technical training in product design and manufacturing
* Expertise in GD&T and drawings using SolidWorks
* Experience in regulated technical fields (medical, automotive, machinery, aeronautics, etc.)
* Innovative, curious, meticulous, and able to propose efficient solutions
* Strong interpersonal skills and team-oriented attitude
* Fluent in French and English (spoken and written)
* Knowledge of orthopedic device design is a plus
