As the Assistant Director of B&F, you will rock the scene by developing, implementing, and maintaining quality standards for the hotel’s beverage & food venues. This entails supervising and directing the service talent.
• You will supervise the floor and direct the Beverage and Food Talent and make adjustments as needed to maintain service standards.
• You will be responsible to inspect the venues to ensure the food quality and service are according to standards, and physical facilities and equipment are well kept, and that all health and safety regulations are adhered to. In addition, you must participate in training, developing, coaching and managing your Talent whilst directly reporting the progress of Talent to HR.
• Resolve guest and talent concerns expeditiously in a manner which is beneficial to all involved.
• Manage the selections, training and development of talent with an eye toward maximum talent satisfaction, productivity and guest satisfactions.
• Ensure the hotel's venues areas are styled per W brand standards and in accordance with the updated W innovations specifications. - Must be proactive in the maintenance of the B&F Department for appearance, organization, and operational effectiveness.
• Inspect talent uniforms and operational departmental areas for cleanliness and organization, correcting as necessary and communicate expectations of these areas to the staff.
• Manage operating expenses to maximize costs while providing excellent guest services.
• Conduct staff meetings and daily pre-shift briefings.
• Supervise all B&F service to ensure proper handling and completion.
As an Assistant Director of B&F you will be reporting directly to the Beverage & Food Directeur and will play a vital role in the success of W Verbier's B&F outlets.
You will be responsible for the short and long term planning and the day-to-day operations of all B&F outlets, ensuring the high level service required for each venue outlet follows according to the W standards and the original Concept.
You will schedule and direct talents in their work assignments and interact pro-actively and positively with the guests.
PROFILE
Proven Beverage + Food professional with several years management experience in a high end, lifestyle kind or environment
Eye for detail – always strive for perfection
Advanced written & verbal fluency in English and French
Advanced computer skills. Outlook, Word, Powerpoint, Excel and Micros
Excellent communication skills, verbal & written
Act with integrity, adaptability, flexibility and results oriented
Strong team player, attract, develop and retain talent
Demonstrate financial acumen
Be detail oriented and have a passion for giving guests an exceptional experience.
Real interest in the worlds of taste, sound, body, scene and stance
