Job Overview
We are building a new production & office facility in Zug, and are starting to fill the first positions crucial for the successful installation of our new manufacturing. As the Production Manager, you will oversee the highly automated manufacturing of auto-injectors and related components at our Zug site. Reporting to the Head of Operations, this role is key to ensuring efficient, high-quality, and cost-effective production. The ideal candidate has a strong manufacturing background, preferably in the medical device industry, with a passion for continuous improvement and operational excellence. Main Responsibilities
* Plan, coordinate, and oversee the production of auto-injectors and medical devices to meet demand.
* Optimize manufacturing processes to ensure cost-effectiveness while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
* Lead and manage production teams, ensuring compliance with GMP and safety protocols.
* Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions for continuous improvement.
* Collaborate with Maintenance, SCM, Quality, EHS, and CI teams to improve efficiency.
* Ensure compliance with ISO 13485, GMP, and other industry regulations.
* Drive innovation through new technologies, automation, and best practices.
* Train and develop production staff to enhance expertise and performance.
Minimum Requirements
* 10 years of manufacturing experience, including 5 years in a leadership role as a Production Manager or similar.
* Experience in the medical device industry (ISO 13485 compliance).
* Strong knowledge of GMP, safety regulations, and compliance standards.
* Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills.
* Proven leadership and communication abilities to manage production teams.
* Fluent in German & English.
Preferred Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Engineering, Business Management, or a related field. Experience in injection molding and automated assembly.
* Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and robotics integration.
* Green Belt or higher Six Sigma certification.
