Senior Warehouse Operations Specialist
This role plays a critical part in ensuring seamless execution of warehouse operations, overseeing receipt, storage, preparation, and shipment of goods. Key responsibilities include managing GMP and non-GMP receipts and shipments while maintaining accurate documentation in ERP systems. Collaborating closely with teams such as QC, QA, LSM, Planning/Procurement, and Shipping is essential to ensure smooth manufacturing operations and timely delivery of quality materials.
* Ensure accurate receipt and storage of GMP items, verifying details against purchase orders and labeling them according to specifications.
* Prioritize efficient preparation of shipments, including binding, stretching, picking, and operating powered industrial trucks safely and compliantly.
* Generate shipping documents, such as bills of lading, and manage inventory levels effectively.
* Maintain high organizational standards through regular cycle counts and inventory management activities.
* Provide guidance to shift teams when necessary and support other departmental needs by performing required transactions.
* Offer first-level support for automation systems like AGVs and Swisslog Systems.
* Complete all required trainings and ensure adherence to departmental and GXP guidelines.
* Process Drug Substance receipts from manufacturing, focusing on reconciliation accuracy.
* Investigate and resolve warehouse operations issues, updating documentation and workflow processes as needed.
* Maintain cleanliness and organization in the warehouse, performing daily safety checks and reporting hazards or incidents.
To be successful in this role, you should have strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities. A high school diploma and at least three years of GMP experience are required, along with a valid forklift license and proficiency in operating powered industrial trucks. Familiarity with ERP systems, particularly Oracle, and knowledge of hazardous materials regulations are also essential.
