Medtronic is hiring a Senior Engineering Manager responsible for planning, directing, and implementing all aspects of the company's design and development of new medical device products or software systems.
The role involves developing, evaluating, implementing, and maintaining technical quality assurance and control systems or reliability standards related to materials, techniques, or company products.
A Day in the Life
* Plan, direct, and implement all aspects of the company's site engineering activities, including safety, manufacturing process performance, maintenance, post-market design changes, sustaining engineering, product configuration, and end-item implementation.
* Contribute to a safe work environment by reporting risks and incidents, and by understanding and enforcing all health and safety policies and regulations.
* Develop and maintain technical quality assurance and control systems or reliability standards pertaining to materials, techniques, or products.
* Oversee investigations into existing technologies, guide development engineering on new methodologies, and monitor documentation throughout the product lifecycle.
* Coordinate activities with external suppliers and partners to ensure timely delivery and project execution. Lead, develop, and evaluate personnel to ensure efficient operations, driving performance and engagement. Promote continuous improvement through Medtronic Performance System (MPS) methodologies.
* Improve KPIs related to manufacturing yields, quality, OEE, savings, and overall process and product performance. Ensure process control, reduce costs, and meet project deadlines.
* Ensure the availability of production means and perform related maintenance activities, champion quality and maintenance excellence programs.
* Manage non-conformities within engineering scope, lead product quality investigations, and coordinate with internal suppliers of production equipment and testing sequences in the US.
Must Haves
* 7+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in managerial roles
* Fluency in French and English
* Experience in design and process control within a highly regulated environment
* Experience in performance delivery and quality assurance in manufacturing
* Excellent organizational and communication skills
Nice to Haves
* Strong presentation and interpersonal skills
* Experience working with stakeholders across multiple time zones, including the US
* Fluency in an additional European language
