The Ledger and SDK teams’ mission is to deliver the full stack to develop and run distributed applications as part of the Canton Network with strong security and increasing scalability requirements. Think of the ledger as a distributed database over untrusted nodes where Daml specifies the data scheme, logic to change the data, as well as authorization rules.
As the staff quality engineer you have the unique opportunity to work on a novel distributed ledger platform and smart contract language that run mission critical workflows with demanding security requirements. Your work will span over a spectrum of interesting and challenging areas such as protocol and language design, applied cryptography, BFT consensus, or scalability improvements. As the leading quality engineer you establish quality assurance for all Ledger and SDK products such that they are built to the highest quality standards to run mission critical applications in strong collaboration with the software engineering teams.
* Lead to establish quality assurance for the Ledger and SDK products.
* Take the perspective of our users: Identify quality and consistency issues by running the full stack of products as our customers would do.
* Collaborate with software engineers to define comprehensive test plans for their components.
* Define test plans across components and products to test the interplay of features and products.
* Implement new test tooling and infrastructure to make software engineers more efficient in writing better tests and increase coverage.
* Monitor, track, and report on test coverage and identify quality issue patterns based on support cases raised.
* Raise awareness and educate engineers on quality topics.
* Participate in planning, analysis and design of the team’s deliveries by bringing in the quality view.
* Following a collaborative approach that fosters, embraces, and insists upon diverse perspectives. We are a powerful team where everyone pulls more than their weight, where everyone matters and all opinions are valuable.
