For our client, a commodity trading group, we are looking for a:
Financial Controller
Responsibilities :
* Oversee end-to-end booking of physical contract activity in the finance ledger
* Track trading exposures, validate mark-to-market calculations, and ensure accounting treatment aligns with Group standards.
* Confirm derivatives are captured with the required documentation, controls, and governance in line with internal policy.
* Ensure tasks are done with an impeccable level of accuracy and in a timely manner
* Partner with Commercial Operations, Risk and Back Office teams to ensure P&L is correctly represented and explained.
* Deliver work to a consistently high quality standard without compromising precision.
* Contribute to ongoing enhancements of systems, workflows, and control frameworks.
* Uphold and improve internal control requirements
* Assist with annual audit activities, including statutory accounts and partnership-related reviews.
* Apply strict confidentiality and security practices in line with corporate data protection rules.
Profile :
* University degree in accounting, control, and finance.
* Mandatory accounting certification (Swiss CPA or equivalent).
* Previous experience in accounting or auditing within a Big Four firm
* Excellent knowledge of IFRS standards.
* Ability to meet tight deadlines during closing and reporting periods.
* Leadership skills, ability to work both in a team and independently, and excellent communication skills.
* Ability to travel to other offices of the group (~5-10% of time)
* Professional proficiency in English (spoken and written).
