Scientific Communications Manager
Our client is a pioneer in Drug Discovery and Development and a leader in Personalised Healthcare. As the world's largest R&D spender in pharmaceuticals and diagnostics, they work across numerous drug discovery and therapeutic areas and are highly recognized internationally. We are seeking a Scientific Communications Manager for a 12-month contract (with potential extension) based in Zug, Switzerland.
Main responsibilities :
* Manage publication strategies and development activities, including establishing publication plans in collaboration with cross-functional teams, ensuring timely delivery, reviewing and tracking publications, and managing internal communications about published and presented work (e.g., publication announcements, newsletters, spotlight summaries);
* Serve as Chair during cross-functional meetings in the therapeutic area to ensure alignment of communication plans with medical and commercial strategies, and engage with medical experts and internal stakeholders to provide scientific input for congresses, symposia, advisory boards, and other scientific communications;
* Liaise with external healthcare professionals and medical communication agencies, and effectively manage internal resources;
* Participate in medical education events and provide scientific expertise to create effective communication solutions for unmet communication needs and target audiences.
Qualifications and Experience :
* Relevant Swiss work/residency permit or Swiss/EU citizenship required;
* Master’s or PhD in Biomedical Sciences, Neuroscience, Neurodegenerative Diseases, CNS, or related fields;
* At least 3 years of experience in medical or scientific communications or publications management within pharma or diagnostics;
* CMPP certification and working knowledge of Datavision;
* Excellent knowledge of Good Publication Practice and ICMJE guidelines;
* Native proficiency in English, with excellent writing and editing skills.
