The Swiss Federal Workshop, opened in March 2023, is Decathlon's centralized repair workshop serving Swiss branches, B2B clients, and sports users. It comprises 16 team members and is expanding its service catalog monthly.
Switzerland's unique characteristics include a central EU customs area, multilingual sports enthusiasts, high repairability standards, and strong sustainability expectations.
Decathlon Switzerland aims to establish repair services as a CENTER of EXCELLENCE, integrating them into stores, second-hand initiatives, and rental services.
We are recruiting the future Director of the Swiss Federal Workshop to oversee its performance and development, including the strategic relocation planned for 2026 in the Bern region, shaping future operations.
Your key responsibilities will include:
RESPONSIBILITY 1: Ensure daily operational continuity
* Ensure safety at the workshop.
* Maintain team availability to guarantee a lead time of less than 2 days.
* Ensure product availability.
RESPONSIBILITY 2: Develop process performance
* Enhance efficiency and quality of operating methods.
* Formalize and implement service policies in logistics.
* Ensure procedure compliance and manage service handling.
* Guarantee technician safety.
* Ensure spare parts and consumables availability.
* Plan workshop hours for each process.
* Maintain cost-effectiveness.
* Improve remote customer relationships.
RESPONSIBILITY 3: Monitor performance and risks
* Set standards, anticipate, and manage risks.
* Use data analytics to monitor performance.
* Support root cause analysis and problem-solving.
* Lead continuous improvement initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITY 4: Manage a team
* Create a motivating and supportive environment.
* Manage human resources, including competency, workload, and resources.
* Foster team spirit.
* Ensure legal and contractual compliance.
* Build a human structure aligned with strategy, digital transformation, sustainability, and job development.
