PpOwn fabrication process development for our monolithic PIC platform. You will define and qualify cleanroom process flows, drive yield improvement in collaboration with external foundry partners, and build in-house process capability for rapid prototyping. This role sits at the direct interface between device design and manufacturable hardware. /p h3Requirements /h3 ul liPhD or MSc in Materials Science, Applied Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline /li liHands‑on cleanroom experience with III‑V compound semiconductor fabrication (InP preferred) /li liProficiency across core process modules: photolithography, dry/wet etching, dielectric deposition, metallisation, planarisation /li liExperience with process characterisation techniques: SEM/TEM, AFM, profilometry, SIMS, electrical test structures /li liFamiliarity with InP foundry flows and process design kits /li liStrong understanding of epitaxial layer design and its influence on device performance /li liStatistical process control and yield analysis methodology /li liExperience with InP HBT or HEMT process modules /li liBackground in silicon photonics (SOI, SiN) or heterogeneous III‑V/Si integration /li liFoundry qualification procedures and process capability indices (Cpk) /li liElectro‑optical device fabrication: ridge waveguides, EAMs, DFB lasers, SOAs /li liExperience transferring processes from RD to volume foundry environments /li /ul h3What we offer /h3 ul liDirect ownership of process development for a novel laser platform with no comparable product on the market /li liCompetitive salary benchmarked to Zurich deep‑tech standards, with meaningful equity participation /li liAccess to leading cleanroom facilities and collaboration with ETH Zürich research groups /li liSmall team, high technical ambition — your work determines the product roadmap /li liOffice in central Zurich — Europe's deep‑tech capital /li /ul /p #J-18808-Ljbffr
