Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Process Engineer with solid experience in designing and operating Infant Formula Production Plants, especially for Inline Dosing Systems, Oil Handling, Lecithin Handling, and their integration with heat treatment and high-pressure lines. Experience in late differentiation with powder handling is advantageous. The role requires expertise in operations and engineering, focusing on optimization, troubleshooting, design, and commissioning of systems and processes.
A Day in the Life of an Engineering Specialist
* Own process units related to Inline Dosing Systems and Oil Handling: define and oversee standards, design, automation integration, and commissioning. Validate performance and process capability.
* Provide technical support and lead operational improvement initiatives for the global installed base of Inline Dosing Systems and Oil Handling in Nestlé Infant Formula production.
* Manage Process Ownership on CIP (Cleaning-in-Place): design and enhance CIP stations and systems, support market validations, and drive digital transformation.
* Promote digitalization of liquid processes, including dashboarding and control improvements for better quality assurance.
* Handle raw materials for dissolving and dry mixing in late differentiation: troubleshoot, commission new dry mixing lines, and assess process capabilities.
What will make you successful
* Degree in engineering, preferably process or chemical engineering.
* Knowledge of safety, hygiene, quality, and process capability assessments.
* Operational/factory experience in infant formula production.
* Proven expertise in Liquid Processing technology, especially Oil Handling and Inline Dosing systems, and their integration with CIP systems.
* Strong troubleshooting skills in an industrial environment.
* Experience managing capital investment projects.
* Experience defining plant operations via Process Control Descriptions (PCD) and leading CQV (Commissioning, Qualification, Verification) of Liquid Processing technologies.
* Trust-based personal relationships.
* Openness to and curiosity about future technological trends.
* Passion for sharing technical knowledge to enhance factory competencies.
* Proficiency in English is essential; German and Spanish are advantageous.
