The CommunicationsProjectsManager ensures the smooth organisation and delivery of all project‑management, logistical, contractual, and financial aspects of content‑production initiatives within the Communications Division. Reporting to the Senior Communications Projects Manager, the role guarantees that projects are executed efficiently, systematically, and in full alignment with FIFA’s overarching messaging and strategic priorities in line with the Football Unites the World: Strategic Objectives for the Global Game (2023–2027) vision.
This position contributes to the planning, coordination, and implementation of corporate and competition‑related content projects, ensuring modern, automated workflows that strengthen consistency, control, and governance across the division. Through close collaboration with colleagues in Communications and other units, the role supports FIFA’s goal of proactive and professional storytelling that enhances the organisation’s reputation globally.
Main duties
* Manage and coordinate all planning, logistical, and administrative elements required to deliver FIFA’s content‑production projects efficiently, on time, and within budget
* Implement structured project‑management frameworks that promote standardised workflows, calendar visibility, and transparent reporting across the Communications Division
* Ensure alignment between content‑production operations and FIFA’s broader communication strategy, maintaining high standards of organisation and accountability
* Facilitate collaboration across units through effective communication, stakeholder alignment, and support for events and campaigns
* Oversee budgets, resources, and schedules to maintain control, efficiency, and timely delivery across multiple concurrent projects.
THE POSITION
These are your key tasks:
Project leadership and coordination
* Implement the conceptualisation and rollout of a standardised project‑management approach across the Communications Division
* Maintain, and continuously update a comprehensive FIFA communications calendar encompassing corporate and competition content, production timelines, and event activities
* Ensure all communications initiatives are implemented according to approved budgets, schedules, and governance requirements
* Liaise with internal teams and external suppliers to guarantee efficient workflow integration and information flow
Operational Delivery and Governance
* Provide structured management of on‑site editorial, social media and multimedia coordination, procurement, financial tracking, contracts, and interview release processes
* Consolidate corporate and competition deliverables into a unified, global communications plan understood across the division
* Maintain oversight of key project baselines and ensure that all milestones are monitored, updated, and met
* Prepare, maintain, and present operational reports, dashboards, and performance summaries for management review
Input/OutputCollaborationModel
* Focus on input by collaborating with cross‑divisional colleagues to collect requirements that define communications tools and services
* Ensure effective output by managing the implementation and operations of those tools and services once established
* Enable close cooperation among all stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of communication solutions that support global activities
EventandProductionSupport
* Support communications events and production activities by creating and managing detailed project plans, schedules, and resource allocations
* Monitor progress and timelines; identify dependencies, potential bottlenecks, and corrective actions
* Contribute to technical management of on‑site productions and coordinate distribution of materials to internal and external stakeholders
* Collaborate across departments to ensure unified workflows for live event coverage, content capture, and post‑production delivery
Financial and Administrative Control
* Maintain visibility of project budgets, resource requirements, and staff planning to ensure efficient delivery
* Track expenses, manage procurement documentation, and coordinate contract management and approvals
* Ensure all activities comply with FIFA’s finance, procurement, and legal frameworks
Reporting and Stakeholder Engagement
* Prepare regular project‑status reports, organise follow‑up meetings, and support strategic project‑workshop organisation
* Facilitate effective communication between project teams, senior management, and external partners
* Provide guidance and coordination to project leaders in drafting documents and management updates
Professional and Reputational Awareness
* Demonstrate an understanding of the political, social, and commercial dynamics surrounding FIFA’s activities
* Ensure a professional, service‑oriented approach in managing sensitive or high‑profile content requests
* Uphold FIFA’s standards of quality, integrity, and confidentiality in all project‑management and communication activities

* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Communications, Media Management, Business Administration, Project Management or a related field
* Minimum 5 years of experience in project management within communications, media production, marketing, or corporate communications
* Proven experience coordinating complex content production or communications projects involving multiple stakeholders
* Experience working in an international organisation, sports organisation, media environment, or agency is an advantage
* Demonstrated experience managing budgets, contracts, and procurement processes within project environments
* Strong knowledge of project management methodologies and tools (e.g., structured planning frameworks, workflow systems, production calendars)
* Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects while maintaining deadlines, budgets, and quality standards
* Experience implementing structured workflows and governance processes for communications or production projects
* Strong organisational and logistical planning capabilities, particularly for content production or event-related activities
* Ability to produce operational dashboards, reports, and performance summaries for senior management
* Solid understanding of content production processes including editorial, social media, multimedia, and event coverage workflows
* Familiarity with corporate and competition/event communications environments
* Experience coordinating with internal teams, external suppliers, and creative production partners
* Understanding of digital content distribution, modern media workflows, and automated project management tools
* Experience managing project budgets, financial tracking, procurement documentation, and contract coordination
* Strong attention to administrative accuracy, compliance, and governance requirements
* Ability to ensure activities comply with internal financial, procurement, and legal procedures
* Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
* Strong communication and facilitation abilities, capable of aligning teams across departments and external partners
* Ability to translate operational requirements into structured project plans and coordinated execution
