The Communications Coordinator is responsible for various communications efforts and special projects such as social media, newsletters, website design and content management, stakeholder engagement and meeting agendas. This position reports to the Learning and Development manager and may mentor a summer intern. The Communications Coordinator will assist in designing and implementing the Texas PSF's communications and media strategies and produce communications products for meetings, announcements, newsletters, social media content, and special projects. This position will assist with special stakeholder engagement initiatives as assigned by the Executive Committee (EC) or Board of Directors.
Internal Communications: Review current ways PSF communicates with employees and suggest improvements. Share important updates with employees to keep them informed about Texas PSF news and activities. Edit and proofread communications to ensure they are clear, accurate, and consistent.
External Communications: Collaborate on social media storytelling and content development. Develop and implement communications plans and media strategies that advance the PSF's initiatives. Monitor news and social media for mentions of Texas PSF, employees, and/or board members. May assist with public relations efforts and provide updates to senior leadership.
Website and Intranet Support: Help update and maintain the Texas PSF's external website and employee intranet. Ensure content is accessible to everyone and that multimedia content (images and videos) is maintained. Assist with basic troubleshooting and uploading new information. Use tools like Adobe Creative Suite or Canva to design graphics or reports for websites, communications, or presentations.
May participate in or coordinate events and media announcements for Texas PSF and various stakeholders.
