Join our dynamic team at the Vevey Biotech Manufacturing site, where we are committed to excellence in biotech production. We are searching for a Business Continuity Expert to report to the Head of Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) with the following objectives.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement robust Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) while acting as the Risk facilitator for the E&M department.
Conduct technical risk assessments to identify potential threats and disruptions.
Develop strategies to mitigate identified risks, including project plans to modify processes, technologies, or equipment.
Assist in coordinating responses to disruptions and crises.
Update the site risk register for E&M.
Lead obsolescence management on site through regular evaluation of asset life cycles.
Develop and maintain a robust asset and spare part obsolescence process.
Forecast timelines and budgets for obsolescence management.
Generate reports on obsolescence metrics and trends for management reviews.
Act as the Reliability engineer by conducting reliability assessments and analyses.
Analyze field performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Support root cause analysis of failures and recommend corrective actions.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
Support E&M managers in managing risks, obsolescence, reliability, problem solving and continuous improvement.
Act as a replacement for Capex management.
Collaborate with various departments (E&M, Production, MSAT, Quality Unit, EHS, Data & Digital) for a comprehensive approach, including action plans addressing EHS and Quality topics.
Create and maintain standard operating procedures and reports for the above activities.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in maintenance engineering or equivalent.
Strong knowledge of biotech process and utilities equipment.
Experience with GMP processes and regulatory inspections.
Proven project management experience.
Experience with risk management frameworks.
Minimum of 10 years' experience in the biotech or pharmaceutical industry.
Skills
Fluency in French and English.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong leadership abilities and a collaborative team player.
Proficiency in lean management and problem-solving techniques.
Proficient in data analysis and project management software tools.
A continuous improvement mindset with a proactive approach.
