Celeroton TurboCell is a Swiss based fast-growing technology leader developing and manufacturing high-speed turbo compressors and drive systems using gas bearings for fuel cell applications. The company is based in Volketswil and sells its products worldwide for a broad range of applications including automotive, stationary, marine and aerospace industry.
To support our on-going growth, we are looking to strengthen our R&D team.
Your tasks: Conception, calculation and design of gas bearings
Consideration and integration of boundary conditions given by adjoining disciplines of rotor dynamics, electrical machinery, aerodynamics, thermal system behavior and production
Continuous improvement of gas bearing design and simulation tool chain
Collaboration in interdisciplinary project teams with other development engineers, production and quality as well as suppliers within internal and external projects
Supporting function during commissioning and experimental verification of new gas bearing designs
Our requirements: Master’s degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering (ETH/UNI/FH) or comparable education
Experience in the design of gas bearings, rotor dynamics and/or system modelling of high-speed rotor designs
Practical experience in Matlab and CAD (e.g. Autodesk Inventor) is a plus
Joy in solving technically challenging problems with an interdisciplinary character, also over a longer period of time
Structured, target-oriented and precise way of working on technical problems
Strong interpersonal skills, team spirit and creativity
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Good knowledge of German is a strong plus
