Merrimack School District is hiring a full‑time Building Mechanic.
The ideal candidate will be able to provide students and staff with an attractive, safe, and well‑maintained facilities in which to work and learn.
Key Skills Needed
* Ability to diagnose and fix plumbing issues
* Ability to repair ejector pumps, sewer line blockages, urinals, flushometer, toilets, sinks, water fixtures, water leaks, and ball valves
Responsibilities
* Operate motorized vehicles and equipment
* Operate, install, and maintain heating, plumbing, and electrical equipment, sprinkler systems, and all other equipment
* Ability to operate plumbing equipment; e.g., drain snakes and jetter
* Grounds maintenance, mowing, snow shoveling
Qualifications
* High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
* Working knowledge of the methods and tools used in maintenance and repair work
* A Journeyman's License in one of the building trades is desirable
* Valid Driver's License
* Experience preferred
Hours per day: 8 (3pm‑11pm)
Days per week: 5
Days per year: 260
Starting rate: $23.35 – $27.16
