In a context of evolving risks, changing professions, and increased demands for technical performance, we are looking for a Head of Property Underwriting Department to lead and ensure excellence in underwriting Household, Buildings, Commercial, and Cyber insurance.
The various tasks awaiting you:
In your leadership role, you take overall responsibility for the department and play a strategic role in risk control, portfolio performance, and team development:
Technical management & underwriting policy
Define, deploy, and guarantee the Property risk acceptance policy, in line with the company’s strategy
Validate complex and non-standard cases
Ensure proactive portfolio management (remediation, premium adjustment, coverage rationalisation)
Team management & development
Lead and develop your team through inspiring, collaborative, and coaching-oriented leadership
Promote a culture of expertise sharing and continuous improvement
Projects, innovation & cross-functional coordination
Be a driving force in the evolution and transformation of the business model
Actively contribute to the development and adaptation of Property products, in connection with other departments
Maintain active monitoring of market, risk, and competitor developments, and stimulate innovation
What makes you unique:
Significant experience in Property underwriting, including several years in a managerial or technical responsibility role
Higher education (insurance, economics, risk management or equivalent) and implementation of underwriting and renewal policies
Excellent knowledge of the Swiss Non-Life insurance market
Excellent command of French and German
