Main purpose, tasks & responsibilities
As Field Application Engineer (FAE), you will provide technical interface on the full range of HUBER+SUHNER products to assigned key account customers in the Industrials market. You will be the primary technical contact for all customers, outside sales and support functions as well as the conduit for design and technical information flowing from the headquarters and other design locations. You will visit the key customer locations on a regular basis and be involved with new designs on an early supplier involvement basis. You will manage customer projects on a technical basis within the network of HUBER+SUHNER. Emphasis is placed on building a strong value proposition and in alignment with overall product and market strategies. The position will also work closely with the company’s product and market development groups globally.
Main tasks include
* Recommend appropriate H+S products to customers in an early development phase translating a customer need into H+S solutions.
* Identify and select opportunities that fit strategic targets and products.
* Manage key customer projects within the H+S group.
* Provide customer assistance on applications, specifications and quality matters.
* Technical liaison between assigned customer base and H+S for all products.
* Support market analysis on new products and developments in the industry.
* Supports company and product promotions at exhibitions.
* Perform customer and sales training on H+S capabilities, products and respective technologies.
* Develop relationships with key contacts at assigned accounts.
* Provide product development feedback to the appropriate Business Development and Product Management team as necessary.
* Adhere to all regulations and guidelines contained in the Global Management System.
* Representing H+S in a professional manner and being able to demonstrate the significant benefits of working with our company as a strategic partner.
Your profile
Education
* Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
Experience
* Design and development experience desired; Minimum 3-5 years of experience with RF Microwave technologies preferred.
Skills
* Highly effective written, oral and presentation communication skills.
* Ability to conceptualize and present innovative electro / mechanical solutions.
* Self-starter who is driven to succeed and is excited by results-based performance management with minimal task related guidance.
