Ph3About Siemens Mobility /h3 pSiemens Mobility Ltd is located in Wallisellen and employs approximately 800 staff across several Swiss sites. The company focuses on efficient mobility management for people and goods, covering rail and road traffic technology, railway electrification, rail vehicles, and associated services. /p h3Position Overview /h3 pWe are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and deliver complex rail infrastructure projects across their full lifecycle. The role requires strong ownership of scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety, and stakeholder management, ensuring successful project outcomes in line with company standards and regulatory requirements. /p pThe Senior Project Manager acts as the primary point of accountability for assigned projects, driving execution excellence, risk management, and transparent governance while collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders. /p h3Your New Responsibilities /h3 ul liLead end‑to‑end delivery of complex rail infrastructure projects, from contract handover through commissioning and project close‑out. /li liAssume full responsibility for scope, schedule, cost, quality, safety, and risk management. /li liManage projects primarily in B and C project categories, depending on complexity and size. /li liApply and maintain project management methodologies, tools, and best practices in line with /li liEnsure full compliance with safety standards, quality requirements, contractual obligations, and regulatory frameworks. /li liAct as primary interface to customers, railway operators, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities. /li liDrive proactive risk and opportunity management, including mitigation plans and escalation where required. /li liMonitor and control project budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and earned value performance. /li liLead contract and claim management in close collaboration with commercial and legal teams. /li liCoordinate multi‑disciplinary project teams (engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning). /li liImplement robust project controls, reporting, and governance structures. /li liParticipate in project reviews and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions. /li liContribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge sharing within the project management community. /li /ul h3Your Skills and Experience /h3 ul liMaster’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field. /li li10+ years of project management experience in rail infrastructure or comparable large‑scale infrastructure projects. /li liExperience in software development projects is a plus. /li liProven track record in delivering complex projects within contractual, financial, and schedule constraints. /li liIPMA B or equivalent project management certification. /li liStrong understanding of railway systems and infrastructure components. /li liSolid experience with safety standards, regulatory requirements, and quality management. /li liExperience working in international project environments. /li liExcellent stakeholder management and communication capabilities. /li liEnglish and German mandatory; French/Italian is an advantage. /li /ul h3Technical Skills /h3 ul liProficient in project management and reporting tools. /li liStrong experience in cost management, forecasting, and earned value management. /li liSolid analytical capability with a structured approach to problem solving. /li liAbility to interpret contractual, technical, and financial project data effectively. /li /ul h3Soft Skills /h3 ul liHigh level of ownership and accountability. /li liCapability of coaching younger Project Managers. /li liStrong leadership presence without formal line management. /li liExcellent negotiation, influence, and conflict resolution skills. /li liStrategic mindset combined with hands‑on execution ability. /li liClear, structured communication across all organizational levels. /li liAbility to perform under pressure and manage parallel priorities. /li /ul h3Who and Where We Are /h3 pSiemens Mobility is a leading provider of mobility solutions and is recognized every year as one of the most popular employers in Switzerland. /p h3Application /h3 pSiemens is an equal opportunity employer.
