Subject to change due to MISD School Calendar /p pbSalary/Pay Grade: /b Hourly Rate of $18.00 per hour /p pbPosition Reports to: /b Director of Childcare Services /p h3Qualifications: /h3 ul libMust be at least 21 years of age /b /li libAssociates Degree or Bachelor's Degree preferred /b /li libMinimum of 2 years' experience managing staff and/or previous leadership experience required /b /li libMinimum of 2 years' experience working with school-age children in a day camp or similar setting /b /li libStrong organizational and interpersonal skills /b /li /ul h3Essential Responsibilities and Duties: /h3 ul libManage daily operations of the on-site summer program, including staff supervision and overall schedule of activities /b /li libAssist in pre-camp planning and organization /b /li libStructure and coordinate pre-summer and ongoing training for summer staff /b /li libAssist in selecting, supervising and evaluating camp staff /b /li libEffectively communicate and maintain positive relations with parents, community partners, and other outside organizations prior to and throughout the summer /b /li libMonitor the health and safety of all campers and staff /b /li libMaintain camp records to ensure compliance with licensing standards /b /li libEnsure the program maintains the proper staff-to-child ratio as outlined in the program standards /b /li libEnsure maintenance and appropriate use of all building facilities, resources, supplies and equipment with care and pride; including organization, cleanliness and daily set-up/take-down of the program area /b /li libActively support staff during activities, discipline and planning /b /li libDemonstrate good judgment in anticipating and preventing accidents, and possess the ability to make sound decisions /b /li libProvide excellent customer service support to children, parents, colleagues, campus staff, community members, and visitors.
