Responsibilities
- Plan and execute work packages within the area of responsibility, including reporting and escalation of issues.
- Set up and maintain automated testing environments on Windows and Linux.
- Perform experimental design and execution in the laboratory.
- Create test cases based on product requirements and execute them, analyzing results and preparing regulatory documents.
- Track issues and verify bug fixes or anomalies.
- Generate documentation, procedures, and technical reports supporting daily activities.
- Prepare and deliver project presentations to internal groups.
- Coordinate cross-functional efforts across hardware, software, consumables, assay, and algorithm development.
Qualifications
- Degree in a technical or life-sciences discipline (e.g., software, electrical engineering, electronics/automation, bioprocess engineering) or related experience.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the development of diagnostic systems within system development or related field.
- Leads independent work on cross-departmental development tasks.
- Fluent written and spoken English; German language skills desirable.
- Strong analytical and interdisciplinary thinking.
- Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems.
- Knowledge of setting up automated testing environments and data analysis tools for statistical reporting.
- Experience with network protocols (TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL) and with gateways, firewalls and remote access.
- Subject-matter expert on communication protocols between instruments and laboratory information systems (LIS).
- Ability to work in a highly regulated industry and laboratories with biosafety levels S1 and S2.
