Your Role: As an Electrical Engineer within our EASA Part 21 Subpart J Design Organization (DOA), you will be responsible for the design, development, and certification of Line Replaceable Units (LRUs) such as Electronic Control Board Assemblies (ECBA) and other Airborne Electronic Hardware (Hardware /ECBA) for our Electric Propulsion System (EPS). Working within the Electrical team, you will ensure all design activities follow DO-254, CS-23, ARP4754A, and related standards, supporting all Means of Compliance (MoC) and regulatory deliverables in cooperation with our internal Certification, Safety, and Systems Engineering teams. Your Responsibilities 1. Requirements and Certification Planning •\tDefine Requirements as per DO-254 and ARP4754A. •\tCreate and maintain the Plan for Hardware Aspects of Certification (PHAC), Configuration Management, Analysis & Simulation report, Safety analysis •\tEnsure alignment of activities with Development Assurance Levels 2. Hardware Development Lifecycle •\tExecute the full lifecycle: Requirements Capture, Conceptual Design, Detailed Design, Implementation, Verification, Validation, and Process Assurance •\tUtilize Altium Designer while producing Drawing (DWG) or Schematics (SCH) if required •\tEnsure traceability using CodeBeamer (or equivalent, e.g., DOORS). •\tManage interface while producing Interface Control Document (ICD) •\tPerform Peer Reviews, Design Reviews, and Power/Signal Integrity Analysis. 3. Certification & Compliance •\tEnsure compliance with EASA CS-23, DO-254, and DO-160G. •\tContribute to the generation of Hardware Accomplishment Summaries (HAS) and support CVE in defining Means of Compliance. •\tCoordinate and support EMI/EMC, ESD, Lightning Induced Transients and Power Input qualification testing. •\tSupport Verification & Qualification Test Procedure 4. Coordination & System Integration •\tCollaborate with Systems Engineers (SYS), Software Engineers (DO-178C), Safety Analysts (FTA/FMEA/SSA), and Certification Engineers. •\tSupport consistency with ARP4761 safety assessments and proper DAL assignment. •\tSupport integration of hardware items into the broader Electric Propulsion System architecture. 5. Configuration & Quality Management •\tMaintain the Hardware Configuration Index (CIDX) •\tParticipate in Change Control Boards (CCBs) and manage Problem Reports (PRs). •\tEnsure alignment with internal DOA processes and quality assurance standards. Your Profile •\tEducation: Bachelor's or Master’s in Electrical Engineering, Avionics, Aerospace Engineering, or equivalent. •\tExperience: 5 years in AEH/ECBA development under DO-254 within a certified EASA 21J Design Organization or equivalent. Proven experience in EASA certification or TCCA/FAA environments. •\tTools & Technical Skills: o\tProficient in Altium, Mentor Graphics, or equivalent ECAD tools o\tRequirements management with CodeBeamer, Polarion, or DOORS o\tFamiliarity with DO-160G, ARP4754A, ARP4761, and AMC 20-152A •\tPreferred: o\tExposure to DO-178C, TSO/ETSO, or software/hardware interface integration o\tUnderstanding of Part 21G manufacturing and conformity inspection processes •\tSoft Skills: o\tOrganized, communicative, team-oriented o\tStrong decision-making and trade-off analysis skills o\tFluent in English (oral/written), French is an asset
