Content & Media Lead
Reports to: Director of Communications & Events

About My First Bitcoin
My First Bitcoin is the leading non‑profit organization globally for grassroots Bitcoin education. We operate through 83 communities across more than 40 countries, providing open, independent education programs such as the Intro Course and Bitcoin Diploma. Our mission is to empower individuals worldwide through accessible, sovereign Bitcoin education and to grow a global network of educators and communities.

Role Overview
The Content & Media Lead owns all external‑facing content and digital communication at My First Bitcoin, including the website, social channels, and conversion funnels.

This role is responsible for growing MFB’s global digital presence and turning attention into measurable action — specifically into students, educators, and supporters.

The position requires a high level of ownership and autonomy. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a highly execution‑driven operator with a strong personal affinity for social media. They actively use platforms themselves, understand how content performs, and enjoy working hands‑on with content creation and distribution.

They are deeply familiar with best practices across major social platforms and have an intrinsic interest in staying up to date with the latest trends in content production — including formats, hooks, thumbnails, editing styles, and platform‑specific dynamics.

When making decisions, this role prioritizes executional excellence over purely theoretical or strategic knowledge.

All work is grounded in MFB’s mission of scaling independent, grassroots Bitcoin education globally.

Core Responsibilities
1. Website Ownership
Own all website content, structure, and clarity.

Maintain site

Coordinate technical fixes with development

After launch: continuously improve content for clarity and conversion

Owns content and performance, not development.

2. Social Media Strategy & Execution
Own MFB’s social presence end‑to‑end.

Define platform strategy and priorities

Plan, create, and publish content

Engage with the audience and community

Track and report performance weekly

Goal: drive qualified traffic into MFB programs.

3. Content Strategy & Production
Define and manage all content output across channels.

Set editorial direction aligned with Bitcoin education

Manage content calendar

Coordinate production with freelancers, AI tools, and internal teams

Ensure consistency, clarity, and quality across all content

What “good content” means at MFB:

Simple enough for beginners

Action‑oriented with a clear next step

Platform‑native and optimized for distribution

4. Student Funnel
Convert audience into students.

Design and optimize the journey:

Social → Website → Lead capture → Course enrollment

Managing all landing pages

Ensure every major content piece has a clear next step

Track conversion performance and improve continuously

Goal: increase enrollments in Introduction to Bitcoin Course and Bitcoin Diploma.

5. Podcast Strategy — External Shows
Drive visibility through external platforms.

Identify relevant podcasts

Prepare talking points and outreach

Manage booking and permissions

Repurpose appearances into short‑form content

Goal: attract new audiences to MFB.

6. Video Automation — Internal Production
Build and run a scalable video production system.

Manage pipeline:

Idea → Script → Approval → Video → Editing → Distribution

Use tools such as AI and automation workflows

Ensure quality control before publishing

Iterate weekly based on performance

Goal: consistent, scalable content output.

Ways of Working

High ownership and ability to work autonomously

Execution‑first mindset with attention to detail

Strong personal affinity for social media and digital content

Continuous curiosity for new formats, tools, and platform trends

AI‑assisted workflows with human judgment at key steps

Clear, proactive communication at milestones

Collaborative mindset across teams and contributors

Alignment with Bitcoin values and belief in its long‑term impact

What This Role Is Not

Not a purely strategic or advisory role

Not a brand‑only or design‑focused position

Not a passive coordination role

This is a hands‑on role focused on execution, iteration, and measurable outcomes.

Ownership & Collaboration
Owns:

Social media performance and output

Website content and conversion flows

Content systems and production processes

Collaborates with:

Education team (content input and formats)

Events and partnerships (campaigns and promotion)

Technical team (website implementation)

Global education network (local content and testimonials)

Crowdfunding (sharing stories that lead to campaign success)

What We’re Looking For

Deep interest in Bitcoin and alignment with its principles

Strong intuition for social media, content, and digital behavior

Hands‑on experience in content creation, growth, or digital marketing

Proven ability to execute and ship content consistently

Ability to think in funnels, not just content

Structured, systems‑oriented way of working

Comfortable operating with high autonomy and responsibility

What Success Looks Like (First 90 Days)

You have developed 2–3 repeatable, high‑quality content formats together with the Education team that enable microlearning on social platforms

You have rewritten and implemented a clear, platform‑native social media strategy based on your understanding of audience needs

You deeply understand MFB’s mission, positioning, and direction over the next 5 years

You have set up a structured content calendar that is actively used and visible across the organization

You have built a 3‑month forward content pipeline, including contributions from internal teams and at least 15 countries within the MFB network

You have established a consistent workflow of student testimonial videos (minimum 2 per week)

The student funnel is actively working end‑to‑end (content → website → conversion), with ongoing A/B testing and improving conversion rates

You have successfully supported the promotion of the June event in Prague and contributed to ticket sales through your content work as well as the live messaging at the event

You collaborate closely with the crowdfunding campaign lead, supporting content creation, campaign visibility, and communication of performance and updates

You managed to bring MFB team members on 10+ podcasts
