Lombard Odier Investment Managers ("LOIM") is the asset management business of the Lombard Odier Group. In order to strengthen our Swiss Fixed Income team, we are looking for a:
Credit Analyst / Portfolio Manager Covering Financials
Based in Zurich and reporting to the Head of Swiss Fixed Income, you will join a highly experienced investment team managing over CHF 30bn of AuMs, of which ~CHF 15bn only in Swiss strategies. You will work closely with credit analysts and portfolio managers in Zurich, Geneva and London.
Your Role
* Identify, analyse and exploit investment opportunities across global credit markets, with a focus on Swiss and global financial institutions (banks, insurances and diversified financials)
* Implement and manage ideas directly across various portfolios and mandates
* Produce high-quality fundamental credit research and formulate clear investment recommendations
* Perform industry and company-specific research, including peer group and competitive positioning analysis
* Build and maintain financial models and credit analysis frameworks
* Identify relative value opportunities using screening tools and proprietary research methods
* Monitor a coverage universe of issuers and proactively identify changes in credit quality and key risks
* Engage with company management teams, sell-side analysts and other market participants to inform investment views
* Contribute to internal credit discussions and investment committees
* Maintain and enhance internal research tools, databases and documentation
* Support the preparation of investment materials and contribute to internal knowledge sharing
Your Profile
* 4–5 years of experience in credit analysis covering financial institutions (buy-side, sell-side or rating agency), as the core expertise for this role
* Fluency in German and in English; Swiss German and French would be a plus
* Strong understanding of fixed income markets, fundamental credit analysis and valuation principles
* Portfolio management skills, or a commitment to develop these with the goal of taking ownership of a risk budget
* Knowledge of and relationships in the Swiss fixed income market would be a plus
* Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field
* CFA Charterholder would be a plus
* Strong analytical mindset combined with intellectual curiosity and attention to detail
* Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal
* Collaborative team player with the ability to work across international teams
* Structured and self-motivated attitude with the ability to work with minimal supervision
