As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive training and communications strategies to enhance the performance and efficiency of our Legal department.
The Opportunity
This is a Manager level role that requires collaboration with the Global Head Legal Operations to design, develop, and deliver training programs tailored to the needs of our legal team and business clients.
You will oversee the development of customized training modules and materials on various topics, including the use of legal technology tools, new processes, regulatory changes, and best practices.
* Design and implement a communication strategy that ensures clear and effective communication within the Legal department and our business clients.
* Create regular department updates, announcements, and newsletters to keep stakeholders informed and support our people through changes to ways of working.
Your Key Responsibilities:
1. Assess the training needs of the Legal department by collaborating with other Legal sub-function leads.
2. Oversee the maintenance and updating of training materials, ensuring they remain current and relevant.
3. Establish a central style standard for internal communications and reports to ensure consistency in voice, look, and feel.
4. Collaborate with other departments to understand their training needs related to legal processes or tools.
5. Implement mechanisms to gather feedback on training programs and communication initiatives.
6. Leverage modern training and communication tools and platforms to deliver content effectively.
7. Define communication channels and create content for blogs, newsletters.
8. Develop and manage the budget for training and communication activities.
9. Develop and manage the Legal training Academy by defining the training strategy and developing e-learning modules/courses.
Requirements:
* Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree required; MBA or equivalent preferred.
* PMP or similar certification preferred.
* Project Management experience is a plus.
* Change Management or equivalent certification is a plus.
* Instructional Design experience would be helpful.
* 3+ years of experience managing training and communications initiatives in a corporate legal environment.
* Knowledge of new and emerging platforms for engagement with target audiences.
* Experienced in developing strategic or departmental training and communications materials that require consensus gathering from multiple constituents.
* Experience leading communications for enterprise-wide change programs.
* Experience with change management and the development of efficient communication content with high user adoption.
