Operational Buyer
will be responsible for
purchasing raw materials

managing supplier performance

supporting procurement operations

Key Responsibilities
* Proactively monitor and track supplier performance, providing feedback to strategic buyers and category managers.
* Support supplier changes, qualifications, and initiatives led by Category Managers or Site Strategic Buyers.
* Maintain accurate material and vendor master data in
SAP
(or similar ERP).
* Manage supplier escalations including delivery delays, pricing discrepancies, and missing confirmations.
* Drive improvements in
on-time delivery
,
quality
, and
supplier compliance
.
* Handle vendor returns (RMA, cost recovery, replacements).
* Conduct regular open-order reviews with suppliers.
* Manage
Accounts Payable (AP)
inquiries and invoice issues.
* Support internal teams in
onboarding and approving new materials and suppliers
.
* Execute competitive bid processes and assist in contract negotiations for low-value agreements.
* Perform other procurement-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree
in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field.
* Extensive experience
in operational purchasing or procurement.
* Strong SAP (or ERP)
system expertise.
* Background in purchasing raw materials
within manufacturing or pharmaceutical sectors.
* Proven ability to
manage supplier performance and negotiations
.
* Strong
commercial awareness
and stakeholder management skills.
* Fluent in
German and English
(written and spoken).
