Join to apply for the Wind Tunnel Testing Graduate role at Audi F1 ProjectWe are now opening applications for our inaugural Graduate Programme. In your graduate role, you will contribute directly to live projects, gaining hands-on experience from day one.Your missionAs a graduate member of the Wind Tunnel Testing team, you play a key role in delivering best-in-class wind tunnel testing processes, both in the tunnel and through data analysis. You collaborate closely with Aero Development, Aero Performance, the Wind Tunnel Group, and the Prototype Workshop to ensure every test is executed accurately and efficiently. Your work helps maximise learning from the data collected, within the constraints of FIA Aerodynamic Testing Restrictions. You contribute to the fidelity of wind tunnel data used for race car development and support the creation of tools and methodologies that improve the efficiency and accuracy of aerodynamic testing and analysis. This role gives you the opportunity to make a real and immediate impact on our wind tunnel and aero analytics processes, which are vital to the aerodynamic development of the race car.Key ResponsibilitiesHelp ensure the quality and fidelity of day-to-day wind tunnel data.Develop and continuously improve tools used for wind tunnel data analysis and testing support.Assist Aerodynamicists in the daily operation of the wind tunnel as required.Improve aero data analysis workflows to increase accuracy and efficiency.Conduct analysis of track, wind tunnel, and CFD data to assess model performance, identify miscorrelations, and uncover performance opportunities.Support Aero Development, Aero Performance, and Vehicle Performance groups with dedicated analysis, tools, and dashboards.Your profileRequired QualificationsMSc in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field with a focus on Applied Fluid Dynamics, Mathematical Modelling, Optimisation, Machine Learning, or Statistics.Interest in and understanding of aerodynamic principles and measurement techniques related to wind tunnel testing.Knowledge of Python, MATLAB, or equivalent programming languages.Personal AttributesStrong analytical mindset.Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently.Motivated to take ownership and deliver high-quality work.Open to learning and sharing knowledge.Committed to fostering a collaborative and respectful team environment.
