As we scale, we're looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant to strengthen our financial backbone.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Receivable Accountant to join our finance team. This role will focus on managing the accounts receivable function related to our wholesale customers. You will play a key role in optimizing maintaining healthy customer relationships, collecting payments on time and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of receivables reporting.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the full accounts receivable cycle for wholesale accounts across the EU and ROW regions.
Monitor and follow up on outstanding invoices, ensuring timely collections and reducing DSO (Days Sales Outstanding).
Reconcile customer accounts and resolve payment discrepancies and disputes in a timely and professional manner.
Collaborate closely with the Sales, Logistics, and Customer Service teams to ensure smooth end-to-end order-to-cash processes.
Assess customer creditworthiness and set credit limits in alignment with company policy.
Post incoming payments and perform bank reconciliations regularly.
Post invoices, credit notes, manage letter of credit.
Maintain accurate AR records and prepare aging reports, forecasts, and related KPIs for management.
Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities, including audits.
Continuously improve AR processes and participate in ERP and finance system upgrades or enhancements.
Ensure compliance with Swiss and EU financial regulations and internal controls.
Qualifications & Skills:
3+ years of relevant AR/accounting experience, preferably in a wholesale or consumer goods business.
Experience working with European customers and understanding of cross-border VAT rules and payment practices.
Fluent in Italian, English; German and/or French is a strong advantage.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in a multicultural environment.
Good Excel skills and ability
