We are looking for a highly reliable and detail‑oriented airfreight professional to support the launch and growth of DP World’s new IATA‑certified branch in Geneva. The role requires strong operational expertise, the ability to work autonomously, and close coordination with the Branch Manager and the Basel airfreight hub.
Your Responsibilities:
1. Manage end-to-end airfreight operations (export/import), incl. bookings, pre-alerts, MAWB/HAWB
issuing, flight planning, recovery & delivery coordination
2. Ensure strict compliance with IATA, DGR and airline regulations
3. Handle dangerous goods documentation according to valid DGR certification (visible in dossier)
4. Coordinate daily with carriers, GSAs, handling agents, customs brokers, truckers and clients
5. Check, validate and control all documents: invoices, AWB, packing lists, security status, DG checklists
6. Monitor shipments proactively and communicate updates to customers
7. Solve operational issues by anticipating risks and taking corrective actions
8. Support the setup and development of Geneva’s official IATA airfreight branch
9. Ensure data quality in TMS systems and follow internal SOPs
10. Contribute to carrier relations, rate requests and spot quotations
Skills and Experiences:
11. 15+ years experience in international airfreight operations (export & import)
12. Proven expertise with airlines, GSAs and ground handling agents
13. Strong experience in DGR handling and compliance
14. Extensive background in customer service & problem-solving
15. Solid operational history in Swiss freight forwarding companies
16. Certified in IATA Dangerous Goods (up-to-date)
17. Completed training in airfreight operations, security and regulated cargo
