Junior Engineer - Quality (Tool room division)
Key Responsibilities
* Perform before Heating Inspection – check dimensions, tolerances, surface finish & machining allowances before heat treatment.
* Conduct Assembly Inspection – verify matching accuracy, shut‑off, parting line, slider & ejector movement, and alignment.
* Carry out Final Inspection – confirm dimensional & functional accuracy of complete mould/die before dispatch or trial.
* Prepare and maintain BHIR, AIR & Final Inspection Reports with proper documentation and traceability.
* Handle and maintain precision measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, Profile Projector, CMM, etc.).
* Coordinate with Machining, EDM, Assembly & Design teams for deviation correction.
* Ensure compliance with ISO / AS9100D / IATF 16949 quality system standards.
* Support tool qualification, trials, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills
* Strong understanding of tool & die design drawings and GD&T.
* Skilled in precision measurement & inspection techniques.
Required Knowledge
* Knowledge of machining, heat treatment, assembly, and trial process.
* Good documentation, MS Excel, and communication skills.
* High attention to detail and problem‑solving ability.
