Job Description
A day in the life of an Engineering Executive involves ensuring the flawless execution of production quality management systems and HACCP standard operating procedures. Troubleshooting and resolving line quality deviations, maintenance, and equipment issues are key responsibilities.
The role requires managing routine maintenance by setting priorities to ensure the implementation of the asset maintenance schedule and optimizing equipment feed for different products. Controlling routine maintenance and repair budgets, troubleshooting, and resolving line-engineering deviations, including breakdowns, is also essential.
Additional duties include following prescribed guidelines, controlling material, labor, general factory overhead, and maintenance and repair variances. Coaching, training, and motivating maintenance, development, and technical teams to achieve quality, supply, speed, cost, and people management targets is a critical aspect of the job.
Maintaining good work discipline with fitters and operators, formally appraising fitter performance annually, developing staff, and conducting training based on identified needs are important tasks. Implementing safety, health, and environmental standard operating procedures and participating in identifying and resolving safety and environmental hazards are also key responsibilities.
Representing maintenance, development, and technical teams at higher levels, promoting continuous improvement ideas, and participating in continuous improvement projects under the guidance of the production manager are additional responsibilities.
* Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure flawless execution of production QMS and HACCP SOPs
* Troubleshoot and resolve line quality deviations, maintenance, and equipment issues
* Manage routine maintenance by setting priorities
* Control routine M&R budget for production lines
* FOLLOW prescribed guidelines, control material, labor, GFOH, and M&R variances
* Cltach, train, and motivate MDT1 teams to achieve quality, supply, speed, cost, and people management targets
* Maintain good work discipline with fitters and operators
* Implement SHE SOPs and participate in identifying and resolving safety and environmental hazards
* Represent MDT1 teams at MDT2 level
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* Minimum 3 years of experience: In a technical field, preferably in food manufacturing or consumer goods industry
* Education: A degree or diploma in engineering, preferably in mechanical engineering
* Experience: Recognized engineering diploma or apprenticeship certificate with at least 3 years of relevant experience
* Advantageous experience: Experience with machinery such as Wolf, Robema, and Ishida
