Job Summary
We are looking for an E-Bike System project manager to help us build the world's greatest E-bikes. If you have experience leading cross-functional teams towards common goals, have worked with multi-national organizations and developed an understanding of how to effectively work across time zones and cultures, and enjoy focusing on the details while driving the big picture, then we'd love to speak to you!
In this role, you will lead global cross-functional teams to plan and deliver E-bike system components such as drive units, bike computers, and batteries. You will coordinate internal and external resources to ensure decision-making channels are clearly defined, adhere to process, and drive product plan excellence.
How You'll Make a Difference
* Manage multiple system component projects and their constraints: schedule, risk, resources, scope, budget, and quality.
* Organize sample delivery for testing and development teams.
* Maintain accountability and adherence to the company's New Product Introduction (NPI) process to ensure consistent ways of working across teams and projects.
* Interface with the system program manager to ensure alignment on timelines and sample maturity between system components and the complete system, including the bike.
* Coordinate with the quality team to ensure delivery of high-quality products.
* Develop project timelines with input from all team members and secure buy-in and agreement on the plan.
* Identify critical path items to maintain progress towards goals while managing tradeoffs during execution.
* Identify, analyze, and address project risks by creating action plans.
* Share lessons learned regularly.
* Communicate clearly and consistently with stakeholders regarding project status and health.
* Assist in continuous improvement projects to enhance tools and processes for product development.
* Coach, mentor, and empower team members for accountability and positive action.
* Support project sponsors in writing project charters and resource planning.
What You Need To Win
* Minimum 5 years in project management, with experience in electromechanical systems development (mechanical/hardware/firmware) projects preferred.
* Master’s degree in electronic, mechanical engineering, or related fields.
* PMP certification or equivalent is a plus.
* Experience with Agile and SAFe methodologies is a plus.
* Experience working across multiple global locations and understanding cultural differences.
* Proven ability to collaborate across functions like Product Management, Design, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain.
* Outstanding communication skills in English (verbal and written).
* Experience with PLM systems, task management tools (e.g., Jira), and project management software (e.g., MS Project).
* Interest or curiosity in cycling is a plus.
