About the role
As Senior Manager, Global Strategic Sourcing, you will play an important role in shaping how Sobi builds a resilient, sustainable, and forward-looking supply network. Working across innovation, manufacturing, and commercial functions, you will help connect strategy with execution and influence sourcing decisions that support both our business and the patients we serve globally.
You will join our Global Strategic Sourcing & Direct Procurement team, report to the VP Global Strategic Sourcing, and this Hybrid role will be based at our Stockholm HQ or Global Hub in Basel.
In this role, you will:
* Lead the development and execution of global sourcing strategies that enable a resilient, cost-efficient, and sustainable supply network for Sobi’s clinical and commercial manufacturing.
* Combine a strategic and commercial mindset to evaluate and optimize sourcing decisions throughout the product lifecycle — from development to commercialization and life-cycle management.
* Drive cross-functional collaboration across Technical Operations, Legal, Tax, Finance, and other key stakeholders to negotiate and implement complex, high-value global contracts.
* Design and maintain a strategic sourcing roadmap, ensuring alignment with Sobi’s business goals and long-term vision.
* Contribute to due diligence efforts in business development projects, providing critical input on manufacturing and sourcing opportunities.
* Anticipate market trends and assess supplier capabilities to deliver data-driven sourcing recommendations that strengthen Sobi’s competitive edge.
* Lead business cases for Technical Operations projects, from financial approval through to contract execution, and continuously enhance sourcing processes and procurement policies to drive efficiency and innovation.
Qualifications

You bring a thoughtful mix of strategic perspective and practical execution. You are comfortable working across functions, building trust, and navigating complexity in an international environment. Just as importantly, you are someone who brings curiosity, sound judgment, and a collaborative mindset—someone who enjoys turning ideas into action and creating impact together with others.
Key Qualifications
* A university degree in Business, Chemistry, Science, Industrial Engineering, or another relevant field.
* Experience from the pharmaceutical or biotech industry, ideally within sourcing, procurement, or outsourced manufacturing.
* Proven success negotiating fact-based complex, high-value global contracts in a multicultural setting.
* Understanding cGMP manufacturing and global regulatory standards.
* Experience in global, matrixed organizations and cross-functional collaboration.
Skills & Knowledge:
* Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).
* Strong financial and analytical acumen (COGS and cost structures).
* Expertise in global sourcing strategies and supplier performance management.
* Exceptional commercial mindset and business judgment.
