Job Description As an Enterprise Software Licensing & Project Management Expert, you will play a key role in shaping how u-blox manages, optimizes, and governs its global software and hardware landscape. You will influence enterprise-wide decisions with significant financial and architectural impact, ensuring that our software investments and hardware choices are commercially sound, technically coherent, and aligned with our long‑term strategy.
In this position, you will work closely with colleagues from Finance, Procurement, Architecture, R&D tool owners, and our Indirect Sourcing Specialists. You will operate with a high degree of autonomy, driving optimisation projects and contributing to the global sourcing strategy. Your Responsibilities
* Lead and evolve the global IT licensing strategy, influencing software and cloud budgets across all functions.
* Drive end‑to‑end optimisation projects (e.g., CAD / EDA consolidation, Atlassian harmonisation, SAP contract optimisation).
* Partner with Indirect Sourcing to shape negotiation direction and renewal terms for enterprise software agreements.
* Contribute to global hardware vendor selection based on lifecycle cost, commercial impact, and technical requirements.
* Rationalise redundant tools, under‑used entitlements, and overlapping platforms.
* Support long‑term financial planning (3–5 years) and cost forecasting across functions.
* Influence architectural and application portfolio decisions to improve efficiency and time‑to‑product.
Your Skills and Experience
* 6+ years of experience in IT software licensing, contract management, and general IT management.
* Strong track record in reducing enterprise software OPEX.
* Deep understanding of major enterprise licensing models (Microsoft, SAP, Atlassian, CAD / EDA).
* Solid knowledge of enterprise architecture, cloud models, and their commercial implications.
* Strong negotiation and influencing skills, collaborating closely with sourcing functions.
* Excellent English communication skills.
