We’re now looking for a commercially driven Sales Manager to lead and grow our wholesale business across Switzerland, a role for someone who enjoys taking ownership, building strong relationships, and driving sustainable growth while ensuring a consistent and premium brand presence.
The Role
As Sales Manager at Rains, you will take ownership of our wholesale business across Switzerland, leading both strategic account development and day-to-day commercial execution. You will play a key role in shaping distribution, strengthening partnerships, and driving performance across all accounts. Working closely with internal teams across Marketing, Finance, Logistics, and Expansion, you will ensure alignment between commercial strategy and brand positioning. You will also lead and develop the Sales Executive, supporting strong execution and team growth. The position is full-time and is based in our showroom in Thalwil, close to Zurich city center.
Key Responsibilities
Account Management & Commercial Growth
* Own and execute the wholesale strategy across Switzerland
* Develop and strengthen relationships with key accounts
* Identify and onboard new partners aligned with brand positioning
* Lead commercial negotiations and drive growth plans
* Ensure consistent and premium brand experience across all partners
Sales Strategy, Planning & Performance
* Define seasonal strategies based on market insights and performance data
* Lead sell-in meetings and showroom appointments with key accounts
* Drive assortment and distribution planning in collaboration with Marketing
* Build and manage seasonal forecasts and align budgets with partners
* Monitor performance and drive action plans to optimize sell-through and profitability
Operations & Team Leadership
* Own the seasonal orderbook from sell-in to delivery
* Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure strong execution and service levels
* Monitor sell-through and drive reorders and stock optimization
* Lead, coach, and develop the Sales Executive
* Set clear objectives and support ongoing performance and development
The Ideal Profile

* Solid experience within wholesale, sales, or key account management in fashion or lifestyle
* Strong understanding of the Swiss retail landscape
* Experienced in building and developing long-term partnerships
* Strong commercial mindset and analytical approach
* Confident working cross-functionally in an international setup
* Strong communication and negotiation skills
* Self-driven and comfortable taking ownership
* Fluent in English and German (French and/or Italian is a plus)
