Buyer Outlets (d/f/m)
In this key role, you will take on a central function in the strategic and operational management and further development of our outlet business. As a sparring partner for Buying and Planning, you will contribute to sustainably improving the commercial performance of the off‑price channel. Your focus will be on managing assortment, merchandise flow and inventory along the product lifecycle – with the aim of ensuring productivity, profitability and a clear, brand‑appropriate positioning of the outlet assortment.
Responsibilities
* Further develop a differentiated outlet assortment strategy with clear separation from the full‑price business, taking price architecture into account
* Derive and implement concrete measures to increase sales, margin and inventory productivity
* Analyse sales, sell‑through and inventory KPIs and derive clear recommendations for action
* Work closely with Buying, Planning and Sourcing on delivery status, availability and delivery timelines
* Build and further develop outlet‑specific assortment structures as well as a stable core assortment
* Ensure the commercial relevance of the assortment with regard to value for money, fit and demand orientation
* Ensure high data quality and further develop reporting and steering tools, decision‑making bases and routines
Qualifications
* Several years of relevant professional experience in Buying, Merchandising, Planning or merchandise management, ideally with a focus on outlet, off‑price or value retail
* Proven experience in managing complex merchandise flows and larger inventory volumes
* Strong analytical mindset and the ability to translate data into concrete business decisions
* Sound knowledge of MS Excel; experience with SAP and planning tools is an advantage
* Strong communication skills and experience in cross‑functional collaboration
* High level of ownership, assertiveness and entrepreneurial thinking
* Very good understanding of products, market mechanisms and consumer behaviour in a fashion environment
* Experience in brick‑and‑mortar retail, particularly in an outlet environment, is an advantage
