Project description
Our client is a leading commodity trading and logistics company. They are committed to building and maintaining world‑class IT applications and infrastructure. The Trading IT group directly supports the trading business, and this business has started a far‑reaching programme to enhance and improve its trading applications using an innovative architecture to support business growth across the full range of business lines and geographies, and to enable the sharing of systems across different businesses.
Client is looking to replace existing reconciliation system Gresham with Exceptor which will be an enterprise‑wide recon platform across FO, MO and BO.
Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design – Define the end‑to‑end architecture for migration from Gresham to Xceptor, design scalable, robust, and efficient data ingestion, transformation, and reconciliation workflows, establish best practices, design standards, and reusable frameworks within Xceptor, ensure alignment with enterprise architecture and integration standards.
Migration Strategy & Oversight – Define the migration approach, roadmap, and sequencing of workflows, oversee translation of reconciliation logic, matching rules, and exception handling from Gresham to Xceptor, identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies for migration.
Technical Leadership & Guidance – Provide hands‑on guidance to the implementation team (developers, BAs, testers), review designs, configurations, and code developed in Xceptor, ensure adherence to architectural standards and best practices, act as the escalation point for complex technical challenges.
Stakeholder Collaboration – Work closely with business users, SMEs, and IT teams to validate solution design, translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions, communicate architecture decisions and trade‑offs clearly to stakeholders.
Integration & Data Strategy – Define integration patterns between Xceptor and upstream/downstream systems, ensure proper handling of data formats (CSV, XML, APIs, etc.), design data validation, enrichment, and exception handling frameworks.
Quality Assurance & Governance – Define standards for testing, validation, and reconciliation accuracy, ensure performance, scalability, and data integrity of implemented solutions, support governance, documentation, and audit readiness.
Performance Optimization & Continuous Improvement – Identify opportunities to optimize workflows and reduce manual intervention, drive automation and efficiency improvements using Xceptor capabilities, establish monitoring and support frameworks post‑migration.
Skills
Must have
