Position Summary
As a Foresight and Scientific Intelligence Analyst you will be responsible for shaping and managing Nestlé’s scientific information ecosystem while delivering research outputs for scientific foresight and scientific intelligence insights to support strategic decision‑making. In this role, you will ensure high‑quality access to scientific publications across the entire Nestlé R&D, NHS, and Purina Petcare. This encompasses contractual relationships with major publishing houses, service providers for subscription management and document delivery.
Further to that you will lead intelligence for scientific foresight, scientific landscaping and intelligence with the purpose to keep track of emerging scientific trends, to identify potential future collaboration partners and ecosystems. Further to that you work closely with scientists, IT, procurement, legal functions and external partners, and contribute to future‑proofing Nestlé’s scientific intelligence capabilities and informing mid‑to‑long‑term research, innovation, and partnership strategies.
A Day in the Life of a Foresight and Scientific Intelligence Analyst
* Manage scientific publication services and subscriptions supporting global Nestlé research and innovation communities.
* Collaborate with external publishers and providers to optimize databases, platforms, and document delivery solutions.
* Perform global usage analyses and define strategies to adapt the scientific subscription portfolio.
* Monitor scientific publication markets to identify future‑proof opportunities and system evolution needs.
* Develop and apply foresight and scientific intelligence methodologies across emerging science and technologies.
* Analyze scientific trends, key researchers, and collaboration networks to inform research priorities.
* Conduct competitive and benchmark analyses on external R&D pipelines, partnerships, and IP strategies.
* Deliver clear intelligence briefs and partnership insights to senior leadership and stakeholders.
What Will Make You Successful
* Advanced degree in engineering, life sciences, information science, data science, or a related scientific field. A PhD degree is of interest but not required.
* Willingness to get professional and proficient in scientific information management, intelligence, foresight, or research analytics.
* Strong analytical, synthesis, and communication skills with ability to translate data into clear recommendations.
* Ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary and international stakeholder groups.
* Experience working with scientific databases, publication platforms, and external service providers.
* Strategic mindset with curiosity for emerging science, technology trends, and competitive landscapes.
* Fluency in English.
* Additional languages are an advantage.
