 
        
        At PAVE Space, we are redefining in-space logistics with autonomous and mobile spacecraft. Our first mission is a kickstage, a vehicle that improves satellite deployment by accelerating orbit raising.
As we accelerate our development, we are looking for a Controls and Automation Engineer to support the development of our 45 kN rocket engine test benches. You will build on our team's heritage and play a key role in the design, testing, and optimization of our propulsion test systems.
This is an opportunity to have an impact by joining early in a major project and contributing to the design and development of a key subsystem.
Responsibilities:
 * Develop and maintain PLC software for current and future control systems.
 * Design and implement PLC hardware configurations and associated network architectures.
 * Conduct risk analyses and design safety-critical electrical and control systems.
 * Commission, maintain, and upgrade control systems to ensure reliable operation.
 * Take ownership of hardware and software-related aspects on site.
 * Collaborate with the test engineering and operations team to perform and support rocket engine tests.
Required skills and Experience
 * Degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Technology, or a related field, or certification as an Automation Engineer.
 * Minimum of 2 years' professional experience in automation and PLC systems.
 * Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
 * Proven experience in PLC programming (soft-PLC) and system commissioning, preferably with Beckhoff TwinCAT 3.
 * Experience providing technical support and troubleshooting, both on-site and remotely.
 * Solid understanding of fieldbus systems and industrial communication protocols.
 * Basic proficiency in reading and interpreting electrical schematics.
