Creoptix is an innovative, fast-growing brand of Malvern Panalytical located in Wädenswil near Zurich (Switzerland). We are a leading supplier of molecular interaction analysis systems. To strengthen our team, we are looking for you as:

ROLE: OPERATIONS & SITE MANAGER

REPORTING TO: Global Director Manufacturing

What's the job?

In this role you will be responsible for our Operations location in Wädenswil. You will join the Global Operations team, and report directly into the Global Operations Director.

In this role you will also be the Plant Manager of our facility in Wädenswil. A broad position in which you will work together with different managers within operations.

What are your responsibilities?

* Develop the operations strategy for own entity, based on set company goals and deliver input for the formulation of the strategy one level higher.
* Develop the operations year plan & budget for own entity, set up production plan and acquire approval.
* Translate the monthly SIOP (Sales Inventory Operations Planning) into operational production goals (Supply).
* Steer the execution of activities within own entity, monitor realization progress and if necessary, take corrective actions.
* Optimize operations, monitored through Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory and Productivity measurements in a high-tech environment.
* Deliver Quality in processes and products, always and all the time.
* Drive process efficiency through Continuous Improvement (LEAN) within the company.
* Promote and implement the use of (quality) improvement tools (8D, 6S, GEMBA etc.).
* Lead and/or facilitate specific projects.
* Provide insights regarding quantitative and qualitative developments by means of periodical and/or ad hoc reports and analyses and present corrective action plans if necessary.
* Manage, develop, appraise and staff one's own entity.
* Make sure that right skills in manufacturing and supply chain are available or developed.
* Build and maintain a network of in- and external stakeholders/partners.
* Formulates and aligns strategy for own processes in relation with other related business processes.
* Initiates and manages continuous improvement in own process.
* Manage staff of the business unit.
* Impact on Organization business performance with process added value of 10-50 MGBP.
* Independently execute strategy aligned to the lead of Global Director Operations.
* Oversees and integrates multiple interrelated processes with a high level of complexity within own entity and in coordination with associated business functions (e.g. sales).
* Operational processes and products are complex, heterogeneous and subject to frequent innovation.
* Works closely with the Sales organizations, Procurement, R&D, CI and Quality Compliance as part of the SIOP, NVI (New Value Innovation), QHES, Continuous Improvement and compliance processes.

As Site Manager:

* Act as overall lead for a site, predominantly to ensure H&S, Quality, Facility and CoBe related activities are coordinated.
* Lead site budget control for key site orientated projects, capital projects, layouts etc.
* Ensure site is delivering towards Net Zero targets and maximize site sustainability impact.
* Coordinate and champion local communications relevant to the site, aligned to overall organizational communications.
* Ensure a safe working environment for all employees working alongside the designated H&S and Facility representative and functional leaders on site.
* Coordinate and provide a point of contact for all facilities related activities i.e. cleaning, security, catering, capital project etc.
* Champion the Quality Management Systems and ISO 9001 certification for the site. Support and coordinate internal and external audits and resulting corrective actions closure working alongside the designated department representative.
* Communicates effectively with external auditing bodies, local government & departments.
* Works closely with facility and HR department.
* Communicates to local teams on issues relevant to them as well alignment to overall MP communications.
* Communicates with functional leadership based on site to ensure alignment.

What do you need to be successful in this role?

Required:

* Bachelor's or master's degree in supply chain management or operation management.
* At least 5 yrs. of proven leadership experience in supply chain and operations or relevant field.
* 3- 5 years of Site management experience.
* Experience in production planning, procurement, and inventory management.
* Proven track record of initiating and conducting improvement projects.
* Experienced in continuous improvement systems and methods such as Lean Six Sigma.
* Fluent in written and spoken English and German, other national language of Switzerland (French, Italian) is an advantage.
* Proven track record of being an ambassador of being reliable, independent, and precise mindset with a high-quality awareness.
* Champion of professional attitude and work ethic in line with our company values.
* Deep and broad knowledge of relevant operational processes and understands and optimizes impact on other entities and has knowledge of the technology of products.
* Proactive attitude, proven people skills, well organized, ambitious and result driven are words that describe you.
* Engagement driver.
* Excellent communication skills.

Good to have:

* Experience in a manufacturing organization serving international customers.
* Experience with export out of and import into Switzerland.
* Thorough experience in working with ERP systems such SAP H4 Hana.
