Job DescriptionIn this role, you ensure transparent, reliable, and forward-looking financial information for assigned cost centers, enabling fact-based management decisions and financial discipline across the organization. You act as a trusted finance partner to cost center owners, supporting budgeting, forecasting, cost controlling, and performance monitoring in an international technology environment.
You will be part of the Business Control team at u-blox, working closely with Accounting, R&D, Sales, and other corporate functions. We are a collaborative and performance-driven team that values efficiency, transparency, and continuous improvement. Your Responsibilities
1. Own budgeting and rolling forecasts for assigned cost centers, ensuring transparency and alignment with business objectives
2. Monitor cost development, analyze deviations versus budget and forecast, and provide clear variance explanations
3. Deliver structured financial analyses and regular management reports for your areas of responsibility
4. Track financial and selected operational KPIs, proactively identifying risks and improvement opportunities
5. Support cost center owners with forward-looking financial insights and challenge assumptions when required
6. Contribute to continuous improvements of controlling processes, data quality, and reporting tools
Your Skills and Experience
7. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline
8. 3–5 years of experience in Business Control, FP&A, or a comparable finance role
9. Strong expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
10. Advanced Excel skills and experience with ERP and planning systems (e.g., Tagetik, Abacus)
11. Strong analytical mindset with high attention to detail
12. Fluent in English, written and spoken
