Electronics Development and Test Engineer (Junior) Location: Zug, Switzerland Languages: German (required), English (required; minimum level B2) Duration: ASAP - Until end of March or April 2026 (depending on project needs) Work Model: 80-100% on‑site in Zug, as tests must be performed on the internal test setup/test equipment Overview: We are looking for temporary support from a qualified external specialist in the field of electronic hardware. The assignment will initially run for two months, with the possibility of extension if required. The goal is to relieve our on-site team-particularly in the areas of testing, qualifications, documentation, and specification of components and sensors. Responsibilities: Test & Verification Support Execution of tests on prototype devices and power modules Measurement of standby power using new components according to internal guidelines Support with the fault reproduction list: testing critical failures and verifying component behavior under fault conditions Qualification tests such as climate tests, lifetime and surge voltage tests, and sensor qualifications Participation in evaluating and reviewing worst-case calculations for electronic assemblies Documentation & Certification Support Contribution to the plastics list: collecting, requesting, and reviewing material certificates Supporting the preparation of certification‑relevant documents (according to internal guidelines, checklists, critical component lists) Assisting in building a second-source strategy for electronic components Technical Analysis & Troubleshooting Support in analyzing issues related to leakage currents, communication dropouts, and reset problems during burst testing Verification of standby power across different component configurations Component & Material Support Support in sourcing materials and components for testing and qualification purposes Participation in component verification, including long-term tests such as 1000‑hour storage Test Documentation & Qmetry Creation and maintenance of test cases in Qmetry (Jira‑based) Execution of tests according to priority and complete documentation of results Qualifications: Degree in electrical engineering, electronics development, test engineering, or comparable technical qualification Experience in electronics testing, EMC, power and control modules, or component qualification Ideally familiar with relevant standards (IEC 60335) and test procedures Very careful, independent, and documentation‑strong working style Willingness to work on-site in a lab environment If you are interested in this position contact me as soon as possible!
