Job Description
We’re currently looking on behalf of our Swiss partner agency for a kind, reliable nanny to join a lovely German family living in Zollikon, a quiet and well-connected suburb just outside Zürich. The family has two girls, aged 7 and 5, who attend school until mid-afternoon during the week. They’re bright, active children who enjoy ballet, swimming, tennis, skiing, music and crafts.
The role involves helping with the morning school routine for an hour or two, then picking up again in the afternoon from around 2.30 or 3pm until dinnertime. Wednesday and Friday afternoons require more hands-on care, and the family would appreciate occasional evening babysitting—usually once a week. They sometimes travel to the mountains on weekends and would love their nanny to join them when possible. Weekend work is balanced with time off during the week.
The family is looking for someone warm, responsible and flexible, who can work independently and is confident driving—this is essential, as the role includes taking the girls to and from various activities. A car will be provided. They speak both English and German, so fluency in either (or French plus one of those) is ideal.
Accommodation is offered in a private studio within the home, with your own entrance, bedroom and bathroom. Meals are shared with the family or you’re welcome to use their kitchen. If you live locally and have the flexibility, live-out may also be an option.
This is a lovely opportunity to join a welcoming family and support two happy, well-rounded children. If you’re caring, trustworthy and enjoy being part of a busy household, we’d love to hear from you.
