Job Description
The role leads Syngenta’s OT (Operational Technology) manufacturing infrastructure portfolio, a key enabler for digital transformation in manufacturing. As part of the Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MET) Digital and Data team, you will oversee OT investments across our global manufacturing network, ensuring efficient deployment of infrastructure upgrades aligned with digital objectives.
This position bridges global strategies with local implementation, collaborating with regional teams, site managers, and subject matter experts. The portfolio manager supports governance and prioritization of initiatives such as OT system upgrades, cybersecurity enhancements, and manufacturing 4.0 readiness—aiming for improved safety, operational continuity, rapid technology adoption, and cost optimization.
Accountabilities
* Develop a global OT infrastructure roadmap focusing on high-priority sites, aligning business and technical requirements.
* Coordinate with regional and site teams, digital leads, and technical owners to deploy plans and provide progress updates.
* Monitor and ensure timely, on-budget delivery of key initiatives.
* Establish governance for project delivery, risk management, and alignment with digital and data teams.
* Implement KPIs to track progress towards goals.
Qualifications
* Experience in OT portfolio management within manufacturing environments, with proven success in large infrastructure programs.
* MS/BS in industrial, engineering, or chemical sciences, or a 5-year technical degree in a related field.
* Fluency in English.
* Experience managing complex, multi-site technology projects.
* Pragmatism and familiarity with the 80/20 approach.
* Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and communication skills across cultures.
* Proven project, portfolio, or program management skills.
* Deep understanding of manufacturing processes and IT/OT integration.
