Our client, a global market leader in the production and process support of active pharmaceutical ingredients, both in the chemical and biotechnology sectors, is recruiting for a Project Engineer for a 1-year contract. This is an onsite role based in Visp, Switzerland.
Responsibilities
Main Responsibilities:
Technical project management (60%):
* in planning and realization of small and middle-sized investment projects with direct impact on current production and/or business results
* in process engineering calculations and plant optimizations
* in feasibility studies of new plants and/or rebuilds of existing plants including cost estimation, scheduling and functionality
* in the planning, realization and support of production adjustments and product launches
* Elaboration of possible technical solutions with evaluation of advantages and disadvantages
* Procurement and organization of the necessary resources (internal or external) for the professional and timely execution of a project
Optimization of processes and transfer of know-how (10%):
* Finding of optimizations in process flows as well as their implementation
* Skills application and incorporation of professional knowledge in daily work
Qualifications and Experience
* Relevant working/residency permit or Swiss/EU-Citizenship required
* Education: Technical college degree or university degree bachelor’s or master’s degree
* Preferred area of study: Mechanical engineering, process technology, Bio- or chemical engineering
* Experience: 3 - 10 year of work experience in GMP environment
* Very good communication skills
* Highly independent, structured and flexible working style
* Excellent leadership skills in a matrix organization
* Understanding of business and financial processes
* Solution-oriented with structured working
* Fluency in English and German are required
