Our client a leading banking institution based in Geneva is seeking a Business Risk Manager (H/F)
Within the 1st Line of Defense, this role acts as a key interface between the Front Office and control functions, combining hands‑on risk management, business partnering, and involvement in strategic initiatives
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the Front Office risk management framework
* Define and maintain policies, procedures, and controls covering operational, regulatory, and conduct risks
* Support the ongoing strengthening of the internal control environment
* Serve as a key point of contact for risk and control matters
* Support business teams in embedding risk awareness and best practices
* Ensure adherence to internal standards and regulatory requirements
Coordination with Control Functions
* Act as an interface between the different lines of defense (Risk, Compliance, Internal Audit)
* Facilitate communication and coordination on cross‑functional risk topics
* Contribute to interactions with oversight and control functions
Audit & Remediation
* Monitor audit findings and ensure timely implementation of recommendations
* Lead remediation plans and ensure their long‑term effectiveness
* Support preparation for internal and regulatory reviews
Reporting & Governance
* Produce regular reporting for senior management and risk functions
* Monitor key risk indicators and escalate issues when necessary
* Participate in internal risk and governance committees
Projects & Transformation
* Contribute to strategic and regulatory projects (regulatory updates, control framework enhancements, ESG initiatives, etc.)
* Support process optimization and transformation initiatives
* Participate in cross‑functional projects aligned with the bank’s priorities
Profile
* Master’s degree or equivalent
* Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience in banking or within a Big Four firm, with a strong risk and business orientation
* Good understanding of Swiss regulatory requirements
* Fluent in French and English
